03Feb07: My gynae visit on my 37th week

Today (03Feb, Sat) makes the start of my leave, utilising the last year's 8 annual leave days b4 starting my maternity leave on 15Feb till 09May (12 weeks). Yesterday (02Feb, Fri) was Hubby's Company 1st D&D of 4 tables at WanHao Restaurant at Marriott Hotel. The food was not bad but it is indeed expensive. His company is really generous this year when it comes to Lucky Draw where everyone will sure get a prize, be it big or small. I won a $200 Taka voucher while hubby won a $200 food hamper+$150 Taka voucher which I feel will come in handy since we can use it buy baby stuff at Takashimaya.

Atfer the dinner, the program continued with KTV session at KBox Cenileisure. We had an enjoyable time from 11pm till almost 3am+ as the company booked the biggest room that has a stage in it. Surprisingly during the KTV session, I don't feel tired at all. Probably, I was in good mood since I'm starting my leave & it has been a long time I had so much fun singing KTV. That night by the time, we slept was almost 5am and the next day, my gynae appointment was 12pm.

Initially, we intended to go for a hospital tour at 11am. In the end, we reached TMC at 11.45am due to the difficulty of hailing a cab near my home & had to take the cab from WestMall instead. (Hence, when I'm in labour, will have to call for a cab so as to be safe. )

Today, I had to do CTG test ($40) due to my feedback of reduced baby movements (nurse says the baby must move >10 times a day). The test took at least 20mins monitoring baby's heart rate. The results was OK. In the end, due to this, I have to do homework by recording the time for 1st 10 movements daily in the Foetal Movement Chart to prepare for the delivery call. I also had a PAP Smear test ($35) today as required if I'm opting for natural birth.

After that, we went for our last antenatal class on "Baby Care" at 2pm. Mrs Wong is very good, entertaining & informative. This is a hands-on lesson on how to handle baby with the use of baby dummy. During the lesson, at times, I'm giggling away when hubby carrying the "baby" as he seems not so confident in handling him. Hope that the lil' will be toughened up with his care when the time comes since Practice makes Perfect. ^_^

The days are drawing nearer (17 days to EDD-20Feb). I have been talking to my baby to make his 1ST appearance into this world from 20th onwards (if possible) or after 12thFeb so as to let Mummy rest for at least a week during leave. At the same time, Mummy can also have more time to prepare baby room & stuff.
Now my gynae visit is weekly, the next one being 10Feb, Sat.

Statistics:
My weight: 79.1kg
