22Jan07: My most UNLUCKY day...

1stly, I was down with a cold due to too much heaty food intake on Saturday & insufficient rest with late nights sleep (average at 1am).

2ndly, my handphone, Nokia 6280 (bought only 2 months ago @ $238 due to upgrade with $100 top-up) was pickpocketed while on my way to work @ GWC in the morning. It's all my fault since I didn't keep my handphone well inside my backpack properly. ***sigh***

Upon discovery of my handphone loss when I reached my workplace, I immediately suspended my SIM card & reported handphone loss via Police Electronic Report Online Submission (Wow! Now making Police Reports has become so advanced & they are also prompt in reply upon receipt). Hence, it would be good to note down your hp IMEI # somewhere so that it will be come in handy should you lose it.

You can key *#06# on your handphone keypad to retrieve the IMEI number of your handphone. The potential HP buyers to check on the Handphone IMEI Enquiry system if the HP is a lost or stolen one. (https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TMFServlet?app=SPF-HITS-SCR&isNew=true&Reload=true)

Well... by doing so will not increase the chance to get back my handphone. It just acts as a deterrent for the thief to think twice before selling it for cash. I would thick he will have it for own use since it's so well maintained and BRAND NEW!

Another additional safeguard feature is to have password to lock your handphone on top of password to your SIM card. Heard that the handphone will become useless even you have found it unless you have the password. (Dunno if this is true...)

Well... It's indeed a painful lesson learnt for being careless... not due to $$ spent buying new HP but...
SIGH... the heartpain part is that I lost all my HP contacts since over the weekend, I failed to backup my HP contacts!!! Furthermore, the hp cost was also partly sponsored by hubby as a 2nd wedding anniversary gift for me! ***cry***
